Dr. Yao Lixia

Dr. Yao is a Senior Research Fellow at Energy Studies Institute, National University of Singapore. She completed her PhD at the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies, Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. She has a bachelor’s degree from Dalian Maritime University, China, and a master’s degree from Vrije Universiteit Brussel in Belgium. She has done research on the quantitative measurement of energy security, the impacts of China’s macroeconomic reforms on its energy sector and the energy security and energy policies of Southeast Asia. Her current research focuses on China’s energy security and energy policies.
Prof. Hikmahanto Juwana, S.H., LL.M, Ph.D.
Prof. Juwana is a professor in international law at Universitas Indonesia. He completed his PhD from University of Nottingham, UK as well as completed his LL.M at Keio University, Japan. He has served as legal expert for several government bodies, e.g. the Coordinating Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Defense, Attorney General’s Office, and Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries. He actively delivered his keynote speech in both national and international events. He also contributes actively as columnist for both national & international publications.
Imran Ahmad, B.Sc., M.A., Ph.D.

Dr. Ahmad is an Honorary Associate Professor, Fenner School of Environment and Society, at the Australian National University. He has been leading climate change, energy, environment and sustainable development programs, policies and projects for over 20 years. He has a solid achievements in senior executive and leadership roles in international organization (IRENA, GGGI, Future Earth) United Nations, academia, non-profit, and public service. Dr. Ahmad is the former Director of East-Asia and Pacific at the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) in Seoul and the Founding Director of Future Earth Australia, hosted by the Australian Academy of Science.
Prof. Akira Maeda, B.S., M.S., Ph.D.

Prof. Maeda is an economist whose expertise is in energy and environmental economics, financial economics and microeconomic policy. Before his appointment at the University of Tokyo, he has taught at Kyoto University and Keio University and has served as a Research Fellow, the Economic and Social Research Institute, Cabinet Office, Government of Japan. He also worked with the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA), Austria as a Research Scholar. He serves as editorial board members to academic journals, including an associate editor of the journal of Energy Economics.
Prof. Ir. Roy Sembel, M.B.A., Ph.D., C.S.A.

Prof. Sembel is a professor in Financial Economics. He is a graduate from J.M. Katz Graduate School of Business (University of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania), the Wharton School (University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia), The Rotterdam School of Management (Erasmus University Rotterdam), and IPB Bogor. Currently, he serves as the Director of The Jakarta Futures Exchange. Formerly he was the chairman of the supervisory committee of Asian Bond Fund Indonesian Bond Index Fund (ABF IBIF). He also hold senior positions in some companies in the past, e.g. PT Bank Niaga Tbk, McKinkey and Company ad ABN AMRO Bank in Amsterdam.
Inka B. Yusgiantoro, B.S.E., M.S., M.S.E., M.A., Ph.D.

Dr. Inka Yusgiantoro is the head of the Supervisory Board of the PYC. He receives his MSE in Financial Engineering from University of Michigan; also MA and PhD in Regional Science and Economics from Cornell University, USA. He is currently a Director of Research in Indonesia Financial Services Authority (OJK). Dr. Yusgiantoro also teaches at Universitas Katolik Indonesia Atma Jaya Master Program in Financial Risk Management. Prior to that, he was a Research Fellow at the John F. Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University, and an investment banking professional in New York City and Singapore.
Nattapong Puttanapong, B.Eng., M.P.A., M.S., Ph.D.
Dr. Puttanapong is currently an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Economics, Thammasat University. His main research areas are economic modeling, energy and environmental economics and international trade. Dr. Puttanapong has been collaborating in developing the economic models for policy analysis with many institutes, including the World Bank, ADB, OECD, ILO, Thailand’s National Economic and Social Development Board and Thailand’s Ministry of Finance. He was awarded the Royal Thai Government Scholarship to study at Cornell University, where he received Master of Public Administration, Master of Science as well as his Ph.D.
Prof. Tetsuo Tezuka
Prof. Tezuka is a professor at Graduate School of Energy Science, Kyoto University, Japan. He earned his master degree in Electrical Engineering at University of Tokyo, as well as his PhD. Currently, he is the Vice President of Japan Society of Energy and Resources. He also involved in some organizations: The Japan Institute of Energy; International Association for Energy Economics; The Society for Environmental Economics and Policy Studies. His research interest includes Analysis, Modeling, and Design of Energy Supply-demand systems, Analysis and Policy Design for Energy Supply and Demand Systems with Autonomous Decentralized Decisionmaking.
Dr. Rachel Hoo Poh Ying

Dr. Rachel Hoo is a Research Fellow at the Energy Studies Institute (ESI) of the National University of Singapore (NUS). At ESI, her research is primarily focused on policy and economic analysis of renewable energy integration. She holds a PhD from the School of Chemical and Energy Engineering from University of Technology, Malaysia (UTM). She was also one of the participants at IIASA Young Scientist Summer Program at International Institute of Applied System Analysis (IIASA), Laxenburg, Austria in 2016. Her research interest includes system analysis and integrating renewables into energy system.
Dr. -Ing. Evita Herawati Legowo

Dr.-Ing. Legowo was the former Director General of Oil & Gas of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources. She was the Expert Staff to the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources from between 2006-2008 and served as the Head of Center for Oil and Gas Technology Research and Development (PPPTMGB) at LEMIGAS (Institute for Petroleum and Natural Gas) Indonesia. She received a Dr. Ing. in Oil Chemicals from Technische Universität Clausthal (Germany) in 1991 and is currently acting as the Coordinator of sustainable Energy and Environment at Swiss German University (SGU), Indonesia as well as a lecturer.
Dr. Rachmawan Budiarto

Dr. Budiarto is currently a Lecturer at Department of Engineering Physics, Gadjah Mada University. His main research areas are energy conservation, wind energy, hydropower, energy policy and integration of renewable energy. Dr. Rachmawan has experiences in solar energy, bioenergy, geothermal, ocean energy, hybrid energy, green building, energy audit for industry, natural gas and guidelines for development of nuclear power plant in Indonesia. Currently, he is the director for Center for Development of Sustainable Region which is a collaborative center for research managing 8 universities in Indonesia and USA.
Alexander E. Wibowo, S.H., LL.M., J.S.D.

Mr. Wibowo is a member of the Supervisory Board for the Purnomo Yusgiantoro Center (PYC). He received his bachelor’s degree in law (SH) from Universitas Diponegoro, Indonesia and LLM in International Law from UC Berkeley, USA. He currently works as a business and law consultant for many corporations in the energy sector. He also teaches law economics at Universitas Pelita Harapan (UPH).
Luky A. Yusgiantoro, B.Sc., M.Sc., Ph.D.

Mr. Luky Yusgiantoro is a member of the Advisory Board for the Purnomo Yusgiantoro Center (PYC). He received his bachelor degree (BSc) in Engineering Science from Colorado State University, USA; MSc in Mineral Economics from Colorado School of Mines, USA; Mastère Spécialisé from École Nationale Supérieure Du Pétrole Et Des Moteurs, France; and PhD in Energy Economics from Colorado School of Mines, USA. He has been working in SKK Migas since 2010 and is currently the Division Head for Project Management and Facility Maintenance, SKK Migas (Special Unit of Upstream Oil and Gas Activities of the Republic of Indonesia). Dr. Yusgiantoro has involved in various oil and gas projects, such as pipeline projects, geothermal field development, and oil and gas field development. Since 2014, he has been a lecturer at a private university in Jakarta, teaching undergraduate and graduate economic classes. He also has completed the Regular Education program at the Institute of National Defense of The Republic of Indonesia (LEMHANAS). Dr. Yusgiantoro has also been invited on numerous seminars and conducted many academic researches related to energy sector.
